The World Music and Independent Film Festival has honored Walter Gottlieb and Final Cut Productions with three award nominations:  Best Documentary for "Heart & Soul: The Life and Music of Frank Loesser" and Best Screenplay and Best Director for "The Tivoli:  A Neighborhood Landmark Reborn."

In celebration of Frank Loesser's 100th birthday, Turner Classic Movies will air Gottlieb's Documentary, "Frank Loesser: The Life and Music of Frank Loesser" on June 29th at 10:15 pm EDT.

 Final Cut Productions has produced a new web video for PATH, a nonprofit global health organization, focused on children's health issues around the world. The video, entitled "Let's Talk About It," features the song, "Funkytown" by Lipps Inc (licensed by Warner/Chappel music). PATH's mission is to create lasting solutions for the world's biggest health problems. The video was shot in Africa, Central America and Asia with green screen imagery inserted in Washington, DC. "The production team really worked hard to make a compelling and clear video that we will be proud to distribute!" says Janie Hayes, Communications Officer at PATH. Watch here.

Final Cut Productions, Silver Spring Media Arts, and filmmaker Walter Gottlieb participated in the Our City Film Festival on February 14th at the Goethe Institute in Washignton, DC. Two films directed by Gottlieb, Next Stop Silver Spring and Shepherd Park: Past and Present were screened at the festival, followed by an audience Q&A session. Next Stop Silver Spring was also awarded "Best Outside DC Documentary" at the festival. The festival was sponsored by Yachad and aimed to instill a sense of pride in Washington, DC through film. Special thanks to Production Associate Crystal Morgan, who helped to represent us at the event.

Final Cut Productions is producing a series of training videos for Tandberg, Inc., including User Tips for the company's video conferencing and Telepresence equipment. The videos feature on-camera presenters from the company's sales and marketing departments, along with high rez screen shots of the video conferencing products and graphics. "Next Stop Silver Spring" and "Shepherd Park: Past and Present" have both been selected for the Our City Film Festival to take place on Valentine's Day at the Goethe Institute. Both films were produced and directed by Walter Gottlieb.

The Videomakers Episode 6 "Nazi Pets" has been released, including a funny Facebook scene.
